Home education is growing strong. The world's original and most successful educational system has been resurrected from history as families across the country have sought answers to the alarming problems their children are facing. Parents of children of all ages are tremendously concerned by the negative social experiences and the damage peer pressure causes to the individuality and the creativity of their children. Home education allows these parents the opportunity to be more selective in their children's activities and to give their children the maximum chance to be exposed to positive influences.

Home School legal defense Association membership is required yearly by all enrolled families
(1st - 12th grade only). HSLDA provides legal defense for families who elect to educate their children at home, should they ever need it.

For those families who have chosen to heed this admonition in the form of home education, Mountain Family Home School Academy has been established to provide the structured support system to aid parents in reaching the goal of a high quality and well-rounded education for their children.

We believe that God has given parents the responsibility for their children in all areas of development, including education. We believe it is a privilege and a duty as Christian parents to:
Discipline our children in the Christian faith;
Lay a strong moral foundation
Teach academic concepts and life skills, which will enable them to live to the glory of God, and;
Attend Mountain Family Fellowship regularly for our continual spiritual growth.

Mountain Family Homeschool Academy (MFHA) is a private school owned and operated by Mountain Family Fellowship. It offers an independent study program for members of our congregation desiring to educate their children in a home environment. It provides families an opportunity to meet the compulsory attendance requirement set forth in the California State Laws under Section 48200. MFHA will keep a cumulative file on each enrolled student, and other records, required as a private school. MFHA will provide a school identity for you and your children, as well as many opportunities for social interaction and support.
